At VAKE, we strive to provide equal services to everyone, regardless of residential area. At the moment the resources at Tikkurila health centre is insufficient to serve the growing population, which is why some of the centre’s current patients will be transferred to another health centre with the start in September.
The current premises at Tikkurila health centre are not enough to serve the growing population in the area and a new health centre building is expected to be taken into use in 2030 at the earliest.
To ensure that all residents will get equal services, we are permanently transferring some of the areas which today are on Tikkurila health centre´s responsibility to other health centres.
You can see in the list below, what the change means in your area. You can also check your own health centre in Maisa during September. Our professionals will advise you when needed.
If you don´t get information about the change of your health centre in August, you will still get treatment and the professionals treating you can give you necessary advice, so you know which will be your health centre in the future.
Service housing units in these areas are moved at the same time to the responsibility of the new health centres. Areas for oral health care services are changed to reflect the new areal division 1.1.2027.
There will be no changes in the services of maternity and child health clinics and educational institutions, in other words, residents in the areas listed above will continue to receive these services in Tikkurila.
All patients are not transferred from areas mentioned above to the new health centre, because long-term treatment relationships will continue with regular personal doctors. The treatment of these patients will continue in Tikkurila also after 1.9.2026.
What shall I do, if I live in the areas mentioned above?
Until 31.8.2026 you contact Tikkurila health centre as today.
From 1.9.2026 you shall contact your new health centre. You can see your new health centre and the name of your personal doctor in Maisa in Näytä Omatiimi during September-October.
I live in Tikkurila area, why is my health centre changed to another place?

Check the postcode of your current living area in the list above or check your new health centre and MyTeam from September in Maisa. If you haven´t received information about the change of health centre, you will still get treatment and the professionals treating you can advise you, so you know which will be your health centre in the future.
I have a personal doctor at Tikkurila health centre, why do I have to go to another health centre in the future?
You will be appointed a new personal doctor at your new health centre, in other words, your treatment will continue there as normal. Long-term care relationships with regular personal doctors will continue as normal at the Tikkurila health centre also after 1 September 2026; in other words, the health centre will not change for these patients.
